Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for admission into the Preliminary Technology & Industrial Studies at the Rev. Fr. Moses Orshio Adasu University, Makurdi, for the 2026/2027 academic session.

Application period: Monday, 27th July, 2026 to Monday, 30th November, 2026.

About the programme

The Preliminary Technology & Industrial Studies prepares candidates to write their UTME and remedy their deficiencies at SSCE for admission opportunities into the following programmes in these three departments: Agricultural Technology and Consumer Science; Business Technology & Entrepreneurship Education; and Industrial Technology.

Proficiency Certificate Courses, Adikpo Campus

The faculty has developed proficiency certificate programmes in Agricultural Technology and Consumer Science, Business Technology and Entrepreneurship Education, and Industrial Technology. The duration for the certificate courses will be nine (9) months.

Who may apply

Preliminary Technology & Industrial Studies

General entry requirements

  • Candidates are required to possess a minimum of four (4) credits, including English Language in SSCE, GCE, NABTEB (NTC or NBC), C&G I or II, Federal Craft Training Certificate, TC II or any other equivalent qualifications as may be approved by the University.

Specific requirements by department

Four (4) O' Level credits that must include English Language and any three (3) subjects from:

  • Chemistry
  • Biology
  • Agricultural Science
  • Food and Nutrition
  • Textile and Clothing
  • Economics
  • Geography

Important

  • Candidates who have less than five (5) credits in relevant O-Level subjects MUST make up the subjects before they are placed into their desired programme.
  • Candidates have the advantage of being guided through JAMB registration and are also given intensive coaching to enable them to obtain the maximum scores required by university management for admission.

How to apply

Preliminary Technology & Industrial Studies

  1. 1

    Application is available only on the online platform. Interested candidates are to visit the Rev. Fr. Moses Orshio Adasu University website: https://moaum.edu.ng (opens in a new tab)

  2. 2

    Click on Preliminary Technology & Industrial Studies and complete the pre-registration information and submit. An application number will be generated.

  3. 3

    Print a copy of the pre-registration form and proceed to the bank and pay a non-refundable application fee of five thousand naira (₦5,000.00) using the generated application number.

  4. 4

    After payment, applicants would be expected to revisit the Rev. Fr. Adasu University portal under application and click on Preliminary Technology & Industrial Studies to complete their application form and submit.

  5. 5

    Applicants are to print a copy of the completed forms and submit to the office of the Coordinator, Preliminary Technology & Industrial Studies, with photocopies of the following:

    • Payment receipt.
    • SSCE, NABTEB, WAEC, NECO, GCE results.
    • Local Government Certificate of Origin.
    • Birth Certificate.
    • Three (3) passport photographs.
